What Readers Are Saying

“At its core, this book feels less like a written story and more like a piece of the author’s heart poured onto the page.”

A Deeply Moving Portrayal of Choice, Strength, and Self-Discovery

In a story that is both intensely emotional and deeply empowering, the author delivers a poignant reminder of the power of personal choice. The central theme centers around a critical crossroad: whether to surrender to societal expectations or have the courage to prioritize your own happiness above all else. What stands out most is the powerful realization of a woman’s innate strength when pushed to her limits. Watching the protagonist navigate a world where she must fight entirely on her own just to claim her right to joy is both heartbreaking and wildly inspiring. It sheds light on the quiet resilience women discover within themselves when life leaves them with no other option.

The author’s prose is beautifully raw and emotionally resonant, touching the heart while offering a profound sense of hope. It leaves you with a lasting clarity about the trajectory of your own life, reminding us that while the world will always try to dictate our path, the choice to pursue true happiness ultimately belongs to us.

“Ravanas of Life” is an amazing book because it talks about the pressure of family and society in a very relatable way. Reva’s struggle to follow her passion while meeting expectations was something that really stood out to me and has taught me in soo many ways

Best wishes to the author.

Dear Author,

To watch your vision for Ravanas of Life come to light has been an absolute gift. This book is a deeply moving reflection on strength, resilience, and art. I couldn’t be prouder of the soul and grit you put into every page! You’re gifted. Rise and shine.

I started reading Ravanas of Life expecting an interesting take on mythology. What I found was something far more personal.

Ruhi takes characters and ideas we have grown up with and turns the lens inward…towards the Ravanas we encounter around us, but more importantly, _the ones we carry within ourselves._

What stayed with me from the very first chapter was the uncomfortable familiarity of it all…the dreams quietly traded for approval, the conditioning we mistake for choice, the expectations passed from one generation to another, often with the very best of intentions.

I particularly loved the way she brings together mythology, Rasa-Bhava, dance and lived experience without turning the book into a sermon. You may agree with every conclusion or you may not…and I suspect Ruhi would be perfectly happy with that. _The point is that she makes you stop, question and look at your own story a little differently._

And perhaps that is what makes Ravanas of Life such an intriguing premise…Ravana is no longer merely a character in an ancient epic. Sometimes, he is a pattern. Sometimes, a person. And sometimes, rather inconveniently, _he is us._

I have only read a glimpse of Ravanas of Life so far. It has already left me wanting to discover the rest.

I really enjoyed reading Ravanas of Life. I loved how the book talks about the different struggles we face in life and how Reva’s story connects with things like family expectations, studies, dance, dreams and finding yourself. I especially liked the way her love for dance is shown and how she struggles between what she wants and what others expect from her. The idea of the “Ravanas” in our lives is really interesting and made me think about the different things we all have to face. Overall, it’s a meaningful and thought-provoking book, and I’m really excited to see the complete story.
